How can you make a difference?

UNICEF is implementing its 2021-2025 Country Programme Document (CPD) that has a key result area and an output on supporting community-based entities in the Southeast of Türkiye to have increased capacity to deliver services in support the most vulnerable children and their families.

 

The Intern is expected to provide day to day operational support to multisectoral and stand-alone partnerships with local government entities such as Municipalities.

 

The internship will also provide opportunities to take part in field work activities to develop and demonstrate skills in provision of various services (CP, ADAP, Education, WASH, etc.) through implementing partners. The internship will also enable interns to get exposed to different aspects of UNICEF activities, including, partnership development and management, program development and implementation, budget management, supply delivery and management and field level provision of multisectoral services to vulnerable children and their families.

 

Deliverables:

Following up on supply delivery and monitoring activities with partners, and documenting progress.
Attending meetings with partners and internal meetings, recording meeting minutes.
Maintaining and updating trackers, documents, result frameworks, indicator progress templates, and plans as required.
Contributing administratively to designing and preparing monitoring activities for assigned programme(s).
Undertaking regular field visits for programme monitoring, exchanging information with partners/stakeholders to gather necessary assessment data.
Assisting partners with progress report submissions and conducting initial report reviews.
Gathering and sharing information to document good practices and new programme approaches for knowledge management.
Supporting in organizing technical trainings for UNICEF partners to enhance their capacity.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years – Applicants must be at least 18 years old. (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Early Childhood Development, Psychological Counselling and Guidance, Law, Economy, International Relations, or Business Administration or another relevant technical field.)
To be fluent in English, with strong writing skills. Additionally, fluency in another official and working language of the UN will be considered as an asset.
To have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
Additional consideration will be given for any past experience in related fields.

Duration of the Internship: 26 weeks

Modality of the Internship: On-site and full-time

 

STIPEND: In accordance with UNICEF’s guidelines, interns will be paid a nominal stipend per month. There is no expectancy of employment at the end of the internship.

INSURANCE: UNICEF will not be responsible for costs arising from accidents and/or illness incurred during the intern’s service, whether on or off UNICEF premises. Therefore, the selected candidate must provide proof of enrolment in a health/accident plan prior to start his/her work. If accepted, the intern will be required to provide a copy of health insurance coverage and to fill out the relevant UNICEF forms on conditions regarding service as an intern.
